Business Owners !
A majority of the general public, including avid theatre-goers, do not realize the tremendous effort and resources required to mount a single theatrical production. Every play we produce, WE produce! Every set, every costume, every light cue, sound cue, and every breathtaking moment on stage is created by Ratio Theatre. Created by local professional artists for our local audience.
It is just not possible to sustain a positive business profile and maintain the high level of theatre that we produce through box office receipts alone. We Need Your Help! Ticket sales account for a very small percentage of our operating budget. Without support from businesses such as yours, it would be impossible to sustain our standard of excellence and keep ticket prices affordable for the entire community.
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, it is part of our mission to bring to Eastern North Carolina, the highest quality theatrical experience. Please take a look at how you can help support Ratio Theatre Company and help make that vision a reality for our community.

"...The arts are a powerful stimulus for human creativity; effective instruments for public awareness; and a major sign of a nation's health, civilization and culture, which serve to enrich and improve society...."
A. Thomas Young
Former Executive Vice President
Lockheed Martin Corporation
"The arts, as a means of human expression, transmit culture from one generation to the next. By enriching every aspect of life, the arts contribute to the quality of life in every community."
David R. Goode
Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer
Norfolk Southern Corporation
"Great art is really a lesson in geography. It knows no boundaries. It transcends artificial barriers. And so does good business. To operate effectively in the world today, a business person is not boxed in by borders, not limited by languages. That is also a primary quality of art, and this is why partnerships between business and the arts work -- both for the arts and for business."

Former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
